If I were the boss

If I were the boss
• I would change the Training Development Policy, all people especially those in low position to get access to study assistant more than those in high position.

• I would at least once every three months make an appointment to meet with everyone working under me to chat to them about their concerns and what is their growth plan.

• I would use less criticism and praise more, even for small things that other people think they don’t matter much.

• I would communicate the financial state of the business to people on the grass level since they are responsible of making and breaking the profit.

• I would reward people for loyalty and write a personalized message to thank people for their hard work and dedication.

• I would treat all people the same regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, background and religious beliefs.

• I would listen more and talk less.

• I would make rules but will allow other people to make their own judgment and let them know that I trust that whatever decision they make as long as it benefits both them and the company.

• I would make the people feel like they own the organization and that if the business is doing well they also benefit and that if the organization is not running well they are also affected.

• I would make people not afraid of changes by communicating in time and be transparent

• I would select at least two “staff of the month” every month to motivate the culture of being on top and winning in the organization.

• I would remunerate people well and expect them to be productive

• I would arrange social outing for my staff

• I would use Emotional intelligence more than I would use my IQ

how your mind heals your body

How your mind heals your body?

I have read all sort of books but nothing compares to the book I read about the How the mind to heal the body. Many people don’t believe this but it is true that you mind can heal your body if you know how to use it. Medical professionals and psychologists have long discovered a cure for any disease that you can think of, the cure is not too far to reach, not too expensive to get, and not too complicated to use, we all poses it and walk with it every day of our lives. Every part of our bodies is connected to the brains and thus our brains hold the most important part of your entire body’s well-being and function. Our immune system is a mechanism built to protect us from all sorts of diseases and to fight all developing threats in our bodies before they became too dangerous.

The immune system is closely connected to the brain which is responsible for informing all organs, cells, nerves or muscles to react to protect your body. In order to make sure that everything is going well in your body, you need to have a good state of mind, and thus your mind will communicate good messages to the body about responding to it needs. People who meditate use the power of visualization to change any situation to a desired state by imagining the best possible state of things and that triggers the mind to send signals to the part of the body which is responsible for whatever action you desire and the results are phenomenon. Have you ever wondered how hypnotism works? It’s a state of perfect relaxation when the mind is used to change the state of the body. Hypnotism is exactly what we need to do to heal any sort of disease and to change things we previously couldn’t change in our bodies.
Next time you have a headache, I want you to get a glass of water, take a seat on a comfortable chair, close your eyes and relax. Take a journey inside your brain or head (to the painful place deep within you) and picture what might be happening inside there. This can be a cartoon picture of your brain with little red spots all over it. Picture the red spots as the main cause of the headache, now take a sip of water while your eyes are still closed and think of the water going up to your brains. Make a picture of the water that you’ve just drank flowing peaceful inside your brains and sweeping off all the red spots bit by bit. The water is slowly relieving you from the pain that you’re experiencing as it erase all the red spots. Picture the part of your brain where the water went past as clean and white with no red spot that causes pain to your head. The results will shock you, but of cause you need to be perfectly focused to do this and also you need to be in a total state of relaxation to do all these.
This you can do with any disease and you will see or feel the results. There’s an old saying that goes “faith can move mountains”, it is absolutely true that if you have faith in something it will definitely be as you wish it became. The most important thing is to learn to relax your mind and visualize!

Two people come out of a building and into a story

Two people come out of a building and into a story of man waiting for people coming out of the building, with a piece of cardboard written “hungry, jobless and homeless”. One man reaches into his pocket to get some coins, the other watches with a shocked-face. Few coins come out of the pocket and the troubled man smile and open his hand to receive from the Good Samaritan. In few minutes the troubled man disappears from the eyes of the Good Samaritan and his stunned friend. Out of curiosity the Good Samaritan ask “why are you shocked” and he answered “why did you give him money”, because he’s hungry and jobless answer the Good Samaritan... The man with no compassion continues “but why doesn’t he have food and job and have both his legs, legs, eyes and ears? Do you know what this man will buy with the money you’ve just given him, we are trying to end the culture of begging in our country and people like you promote is and make these people more lazy and not want to use their brains.

“South African is a nation of beggars” do you agree with this statement? Thousands of people drive in their cars towards downtown Johannesburg every morning going to work; this gives beggars a good chance to stand at the intersection and target cars stopping to beg for money, food and jobs. But where does this culture come from and when will it end. Are we a nation of beggars? Are there no other opportunities for people to make money and get jobs except for standing in the street corner and beg? Is it a good culture for our nation? We have social grants for old people, not only for old people but also for children without parents, parents who doesn’t have an income which is enough to take care of their children, and also people with diseases like HIV and Aids making it impossible for them to work. My question is by giving a man standing on the street money are we promoting the culture of begging in our nation? Are we really helping by giving something to them?

Let’s talk...

Confused

My very first blog, I can’t believe I eventually managed to get a chance to start writing. What a year this promises to be, so many things to do and absolutely no time to waste. For the very first time in my life I take time serious, every minute counts. The only worry is “how long will I keep this flame burning”. Eight years ago I made a promise to myself that I will not rest until I get my PR degree, it seem like I am getting closer to my destination. It is such an accomplishment to be sitting here and writing this journal, this has been my dream and loving every moment of it.
What is amazing is how things change and how people meet to depart, when I look back at where I am coming from I think of all those I have left behind and all those who left me behind. I need to constantly remind myself that we not all destined for the same destination.
A friend of mine once said “it’s abnormal for a child not to grow”, I totally agree and live by that statement lately. Growth is change, change is growth... it’s important that we learn from our experiences and better our tomorrow today. When I look back at all that I have been through, I can only learn from my mistakes and better myself today for tomorrow is never guaranteed. I don’t know the purpose of me writing my feeling on here, but I know in time the pieces of the puzzle will come together to form a bigger picture. Every understanding starts with confusing, as much as I am confused I can’t wait to start writing my next blog.

is polygamy a feminist issue?

In Africa polygamy has been practiced for years and still dominates in some parts of Africa. Swaziland is one of the African countries known for carrying this practice from generation to generation and still continues with it today. It is very common in Swaziland that one man marries a woman and also marries her brother’s daughter (Niece). This is done especially if the woman gets too old to perform the duties of a house-wife and thus her brother’s child would help to keep the family together and possible bare more children. Problems start when a woman is forced to marry someone they don’t love. This is normally an issue and the victims are mostly young girl being forced by their fathers who are also practising polygamy. Unfortunately this has not benefited women but it is one of the issues of woman and child abuse which needs to be addressed.

The issue of poverty is one of the major problems surrounding the issue of polygamy. Back in the days people were not using money to trade and the more wives you had the richer you could became. Women were used to cultivate and to produces kids who will also work the fields and make one man richer and thus take more wives. More women would then be interested in joining the polygamy because of the riches obtained through exploitation of other women and kids.

Very few people in South Africa are still practicing pure polygamy, and this is simply because of the financial stress that this practice can great. People are no longer living in rural areas and because of the cost of living which have tripled in less than a decade, people cannot afford to have more than one wife. For men to be able to have more than two wives, they will need to be able to provide for them. A love relationship between two individuals who are committed to each other is not the same as when there’s more that two people involved. There will always be one wife who is getting more attention from the husband than the other, and thus creating hatred amongst the woman.

This is just a tip of an ice-burg, the problem surrounding polygamy are a lot. We have more reasons not to allow this practice than we have reason to keep it. Women have rights to choose and in most case women in polygamy relationship are given no option. This issue doesn’t only affect woman but also children born in polygamy marriages.
